My affiliation with the Scottish Islands started in 1987, when I was captivated by the stunning scenery of a boattrip between Kyle of Lochalsh and Mallaig. This service has long been discontinued now. It can be viewed from a distance along the A851 Broadford to Armadale road in Skye and from the ferry plying between Armadale and Mallaig.
